This syllabus has been put together by a team of knowledgeable experts bearing in mind the aims and aspirations of the founding fathers of Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (IAMPS), Nigeria. The main effort of this Institute is to produce graduates that will be professionals in their field of practices to enable them achieve self sufficiency. This will help reduce the number of unemployed youth in the Nigeria labour market. This is in tune with the Federal Government’s effort in reducing unemployment in the country.
A glance at the course outline shows a delicate balance between academic learning and practical work at the rate of roughly 50% each. This is what Nigeria needs now, a graduate that is well informed and at the same times an expert in his/her chosen area of specialization.
To be able to achieve the production of this syllabus, the committee of experts looked at the syllabuses of chartered professional bodies with that of our partner universities both locally and internationally in other to adopt good programmes that are adequate for the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies, the result of this gesture is that we have been able to produce a syllabus that is embracive and profound, and yet unique and peculiar to Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies (IAMPS).
